About Me!

My name is Catherine Edwards and I am an 18 year old student from Islington, London. I'm currently in my final year at college, studying Maths, Economics, Drama and AS Further Maths. I plan to go on to study Maths and Economics at in the future. I have been selected to spend 12 months volunteering as a teacher in Guyana, starting September 2014, with Project Trust. I will be teaching Maths and Science in a secondary school and getting involved with secondary projects. This will be a great experience to learn about a new culture, experience new customs and make a positive impact on other people’s lives.

For this once in a lifetime opportunity I need to raise £5,600 to cover the cost of training, overseas support, accommodation, insurance, amongst other things. 

I will be holding a variety of fundraising events to help me reach my target and will be very committed to this. I would greatly appreciate any donations or sponsors to support me in my year abroad and to help improve the education of the children in Guyana.
